The Assembly needs to take all of its business seriously. What if we don't and somebody else does? What if that gets exploited? We need to shut down the possibility, however remote, while we still have the chance. It takes one moment of madness for something innocent and innocuous to explode in everybody's face. Let's play it safe.

What dubious acts are you thinking of that would possibly constitute a crime? Aside from bribery, of course, since it's already a crime.

Larceny, and laundering of course.

Larceny I understand, but how would laundering work? Yes, maybe you can extort / blackmail for currency, but then how would you launder the money, since it automatically goes to your credit list?

People could route money through others to obscure bribes.

Do you understand how the proposed money system works? Because we’re not roleplaying about legislating over a real financial system.

It fulfils no function if you cannot do anything with it. So, the important problem to solve is making an incentive for a market. This might give a slight incentive to be more active on the forum. However, caution is needed: If there is too much of an incentive, one needs to also monitor and balance the system so that nobody can cheat it or get blatantly unfair benefits to those in power.

I'm not too worried about regulation at the moment; primarily because I fear that if we get bogged down on writing rules around the whole initiative, we will fail at eventually getting it off the ground and instead worry about the minor details.

As to your very valid concern about incentives, I am not entirely sure what is the best way to address it. We could establish shops but that requires a good number of people to offer products and services. The easiest incentive to implement, in my opinion, would be to tie salaries to the WA stock market — at least for the start, we can progress further with other incentives in the future.

You may also have noticed that a few individuals have been receiving an income every day. I have trialled automatic daily salaries for a variety of positions but it appears that the software will only allow for primary group users. Hence why it appears only the administrators are receiving any income. For the future, we will have to manually input salaries rather than rely on automation. This may change, of course, as we learn more.

I will endeavour to write up a more comprehensive road map for this initiative in the coming days but as it stands, this all is still in the trials stage.

I urge cautious optimism and respectfully discourage any high hopes. Lazarus has had this software in the works for many months now and is still making tweaks, we will likely be in the same position.

Assuming this is still being worked on and income is a viable possibility, I would urge that the income payments are also given to lower-level workers in government, as that would, I think, provide a further incentive to joining the government.

Hi there Atlantica Smile

I am not currently working on this. I believe Agalaesia has kindly agreed to take point on this project and is presently designing the architecture/structure with which to make this a viable enterprise.
