There has been a dearth of questions to your Darth self...

As a result, and once again, it's left to me to ask the hard hitting, probing questions to discover your true intentions.

So, with that in mind, let me ask you this...

When you are elected Chair you will take your rightful place as the regions most powerful Admiral General. Do you intend to excise those who dont 'write-in' seraph on their delegate election ballot from the roster of legislators?

I've already sanitised my scalpel Masked

Do you vow, as Chair, to fully accept the light-blue and orange colour scheme and to never deviate from it towards your preferred dark-blue and yellow?

Angry

This is an extremely grave matter.

Devil

I partially accept the light-blue and orange colour scheme as long as it conforms to my own preference of never mixing a orange-coloured full-sized banner with one in blue — because it harms children's eyes. Rather, there must be a multitude of tones — which come from the UDC (not that dark blue that Aumey is allergic to Tounge ) — which should be used to offset any potential clash. A prime example of this working is the beautiful dispatch guideline done by Aumey and yours truly <3

And now, the more detailed answers:

I say issues, but consider that to be anything from legislative standards and formatting to new and innovative ideas on how bills are considered to anything else that would make the functioning of the Assembly more effective.

At the beginning of the term, I will be releasing to the Assembly an agenda for the next four months. It will serve as a rough blueprint for my time as Chair and provide details on what I hope to have discussed and finalised (or dismissed).

Among these are a centralised dispatch service as well as new legislation formatting. I will open up discussion threads on these in due time.

Additionally, I would like to begin a discussion on revisiting the concept of committees focused on improving select areas of regional legislation. This may, for example, come in the form of locking up 12 of our brightest in a damp room for several days to poke holes in our security apparatus and see which loopholes can be plugged.

Ultimately though, these will all be continuing conversations to be had in greater detail when the election concludes.

I should also note that I will, if elected as Chair, be reducing my commitments elsewhere in TSP (such as the MoRA) to focus on Assembly matters — I only have so much time to spend on NS and being Chair has proven to be a taxing task ...

There seems to be a number of proposals and debates that haven't moved onto a vote or there has been no public notice of any vote (or the outcome of some closed votes). Are you happy with how efficiently the Assembly is operating and/or the level of transparency for those who engage more in gameside activity?

Yes and no.

There are instances when otherwise productive debates have no conclusion due to one reason or another. It can be, for example, simply because the proposed legislation has been shown to lack the support a majority of those present that the author has decided not to proceed with motioning a vote.

I believe — although I am not entirely certain without having first checked all the threads — that the incumbent Chair has been to his credit rather diligent in announcing the results of votes and presenting the outcomes in the relevant discussion threads. With that being said, I hope to reintroduce final tallies in a spreadsheet form. It has been mentioned to me that there are those who enjoy looking at voting records.

To the question of gameside awareness, I agree, this is an area where the Assembly can do better and I hope this will be the case in the future. I plan to make every action (i.e. new votes, the results of votes, etc.) public in the RMB as well as published in an Assembly Gazette. Beyond that, I will be looking at engaging with stakeholders on other avenues which we can utilise in improving this body.

It is difficult for a Chair to do very much about the forums as a whole, it is more so a matter for forum administration. With that being said, within the confines of the Assembly itself, I would argue that things are rather logical; voting threads go in sub-forum A, the archive is in sub-forum B, information threads are appropriately pinned up, etc. I do, however, believe that beyond the Assembly, the Information Center and Announcements do look comparatively underutilised and those are perhaps areas where more information pertaining to Assembly matters could go.
