Drakari Celestial Imperium
Inquisition Listening Post -REDACTED- -REDACTED- system Screens and data. In spite of the mystique and reputation the Imperial Inquisition had built up over the millennia, due in no small part to the admittedly entertaining films the holovid producers put out and the stories Legionnaires told of daring black-ops missions and secret operations, the average day of an agent of the Inquisition was spent huddled over screens and endless lines of data intercepted across light-years of space. Quintus didn't mind, however. His role, minor though it was in the grand scheme of things, went a long way towards maintaining peace and security for the countless worlds that lay under the Imperium's banner. The recent news from the capital seemed to spur the devotion he and his fellows to greater vigilance. Communicating with reformers from another state, he thought, this could change the course of the known galaxy's history! Like his fellow agents throughout the station, he poured over countless frequencies, hoping beyond hope that even a single message could be discerned. "Gods," he prayed softly, "guide my hands and keep my attention sharp." |
