Another situation in TEP

Actually, I take that back. Didn't realise what this was referring to as first.

[05:51] Sev: Y'all have a decent number of Endo cap violators if the 400 number is still the cap lol
[05:55] ?? Fidel ??: Nope
[06:01] Sev: Just out of date wfe?
[06:08] ?? Fidel ??: I'll update it once my show is over

Trying to restore BC powers.

I'm talking with TRR and TNP, making sure we're all aware of what's going on. So far TRR are alarmed, TNP thinks it might be just preparing for Marrabuk to win elections and is kinda hoping it blows over.

[13:57] Nakari: hello, on tsp business here. what's up with all the vizier removals? i dont want to jump to conclusions but some people are kinda alarmed by it, so figured you're the best person to ask about what's going on :stuck_out_tongue:
[13:58] Fedele: It's going to be a peaceful delegate transition so don't worry about that side of it
[13:59] Fedele: It's forcing a discussion on key deficiencies in the laws in the East
[13:59] Nakari: okay, thanks. should be interesting. :stuck_out_tongue:
[14:00] Fedele: Well, we wouldn't want things to be boring
[14:00] Fedele: And why lecture when you can demonstrate?

Do we know what sort of deficiencies he's talking about? That seems a tad coup-y for just demonstrating an issue.

Has there been any movement on this?

The Viziers are taking the approach of essentially going on strike, refusing to legislate the holes Fedele is pointing, and waiting to see if the delegate transition occurs.

...there isn't really much we can do right now until the Viziers want to do anything. Outside statements and any endorsements won't make any difference, and may make things worse in the case of an actual coup, as then Fedele can justify it like Lazarus.

The Viziers have the power to block his legislative attempts?

Edit: It does seem rather peculiar — to go through all this effort just to make a political statement

He isn't making any legislative attempts. He's basically saying "I think there are problems in the Concordat, or I wouldn't be able to do this. If you don't like what I'm doing, fix the laws." Which is ridiculous, because there are no laws that can prevent a delegate who wants to coup from couping... and because he never tried to fix them himself.

If he made legislative attempts, the Magisterium would have to vote on them. Who knows what way they'd go? I don't think they'd be favourable if it was too self serving. The Viziers can't directly block. And that's assuming he'd try and do things legally.

But if he doesn't like whatever laws the Viziers and Magisterium propose, he can veto. I missed that before. Ugh, that's going to be fun. Basically, if he wants to coup, he won the battle 352 days ago :/
