A small personal gunship moves through the unclaimed territory between the Outerlands Confederation and the Ryccian territories.

“Let’s go back through the contract,” a man wearing a distinct pilot’s helmet sighs to himself.

“There’s a thief hiding in the Ryccian Empire. Somewhere on a minor planet lies a man who’s stolen from the Governor of Lavinium. Bring him in dead or alive and I get my payment.”

Setting his ship for the course of the Ryccian Empire’s border to get clearance, he went back into the hull of the ship which he made his mobile home.

The inside of the ship was cozy, yet stuffy; the room’s got mostly everything you’d need in a single room, including weapons storage.

He sighed as he laid down on his bed for a nap.

The sound of alarms woke the Hunter up.

“Shit, shit, shit, shit, shit,” he whispered to himself, quickly getting up and running off to the command of the ship. Ahead he saw two police TIEs who were investigating the area.

He slowed down in hopes he could evade them. However, they spotted him soon after and followed towards him.

A transmission was sent. “You there. Your ship is not within our register.”

He didn’t respond.

“Respond immediately, or we will be forced to seize-“

The guns on the ship whirred up as they fired on both TIEs, quickly sniping out the two. If he was going to get this job done, it would be as quick as possible. No need to wait for the police.

He sped off in the direction of a minor planet before he could be chased down.

“I’m giving myself two minutes before I’m shot down,” the Hunter says to himself.

Speeding in the direction of the planet he’s aimed for, known for its lack of an active garrison (it’s rather lazy, in fact), he pushes his ship to its absolute limit of speed in an attempt to make it there.

Not even a minute later, two star destroyers tower over the minuscule ship of the Hunter.

“Heavy fire inbound,” he murmurs to himself, prepared to dodge as best as possible the shots of the destroyers.

Several hundred shots are fired out at the ship as the Hunter deftly dodges as many as he can. However, that wasn’t enough for him to not sustain damage.

“Shit! They obliterated an engine!”

The left half of the ship was entirely gone as he entered into orbit. The flames from the engine engulfed the ship as the fuel tank nearby began to leak, setting fire to even more in the area.

On one of the star destroyers, the commander of the two observed the situation. “The ship has sustained heavy damage,” he says to himself. “Survival is impossible. We are done here.”

The star destroyers leave as the ship crashes down into orbit.

Realizing he needs to do more to survive, the Hunter runs down to his living space and quickly grabs all he needs: a few weapons, a survival kit, and enough credits to last him a few days until he can find work for his way back home. He quickly hops into an emergency escape pod and slams down the door before pressing the button for launch.

All of this occurred all but 10 seconds before crash landing directly into the ground of the planet. Falling nearly 350 feet, the Hunter braced for impact.

Not even 100 feet away, the ruins of the ship went up in flames.
