An issue that is occasionally brought up is the lack of accountability reports on the part of the executive. These have sometimes been done, while other times there has been an open invitation for citizens and legislators to ask questions. Both are perfectly valid ways to encourage people to know what their government is doing. Still, why not go a bit further?

I think it would be really good if we could use this space, here in the floor of the Assembly, to invite our Cabinet to explain in as little or as much detail as they wish, what has been done so far in the term, what objectives they have to the remainder of it, but also to allow every legislator to ask questions of their own to any minister.

At best this will help us start a new practice in the Assembly. At worst we'll know this idea isn't fit for our region. Either way we'll be able to say we tried something.

I love answering questions, so please don't hesitate to post them here or anywhere and I'll get to them as soon as I can. Thank you for getting this started!

I'd like to start by asking the Prime Minister how he feels about the term so far and if he'd like to highlight some of the successes that we've had in the past few months.

It has been an odd term just by the very nature of taking place during a very odd time in the world. The global pandemic has shifted availability and motivation in various directions for quite a number of people. I've noticed it myself as well. I've been working from home for roughly a month and a half, and it's been fascinating to see the subtle and subconscious changes within just myself. There are a few things that I myself would have liked to have gotten done by now that were hampered just by virtue of my "home" desk now being the same as my "work" desk; meanwhile there are other things that I have gotten done that I didn't expect to. I know that I'm not alone with this.

The term as a whole I'd describe as not perfect but still pretty good even if RL global events aren't considered.

In terms of successes, I'd note the following three big ones:

• We now have a functioning World Assembly department, and even though some of the procedural specifics still need to be worked out (which is to be expected in a new department), it's already running very well. Many thanks to particularly Agalaesia and Somyrion for putting so much time into it, and of course thanks to all the South Pacificans that are already contributing.
  
• The Foreign Affairs Ministry as a whole. In his second term, Omega has really become a force unto himself in this area. The new diplomatic partnerships signed with both Lazarus and the NPO, and simply the fact that it's actually fully staffed with representatives in every relevant region are products of that great work.
  
• Pacific-Con! Need I say more?
  

That's not all of it of course, plus there are more things brewing. I suspect we will be hearing some very good things coming from the SPSF before the term ends. South Asians has really hit the ground running and has been putting in some great work.

Omega has really become a force unto himself in this area.

Roavin is being much too flattering in this area. My success is due to the exceptional FA staff who I am fortunate to work with every day in ensuring we put TSP's best foot forward!
