Amendment to the Criminal Code

Basically, this proposal has 2 things. The first is making hate speech and discrimination illegal. It is using a part from @Farengeto 's proposal and another part from the statement published by the moderation team regarding Whole India's ban and putting it all into one.

The second thing is specifying that bans also apply to any regional/government discord server because right now, it's very vague on whether "offsite forums" means, just the forums, just the discord server or both and this will help make it more clear.
Amendment to the Criminal Code Wrote:
Criminal Code

...

1. Crimes

...

(15) Hate Speech and Discrimination shall be defined as hatred or prejudice towards someone for being different, such as but not limited to, a different sex, race, ethnicity, religion, nationality, gender or sexual orientation.

...

2. Punishments

(1) If found guilty of an act of treason, the offending nation will be immediately banned from the in-game region and, offsite forums and any government related discord servers.

...

(3) If found guilty of hate speech or discrimination, the defendant shall be immediately banned from the in-game region, offsite forums and any government related discord servers with a possibility of review after one year.

(3)(4) If found guilty of any other crime listed above, the Judiciary will determine a sentence. The sentence must be proportionate to the offense.

This isn't IC, so imo it should be for the moderation team.

Plus, potential implications:
- people spew obvious hate speech, but the court isn't legally allowed to make a sentence very fast, so they have a lot of time to be a dick
- the court case is gonna encourage people to try and justify their hate speech, which could lead to veeery bad places
- or, person is banned before the court case, and now our court system gets filled with cases of "hey this person did a hate, now do the whole procedure even though we already dealt with them"

Completely against this. Here’s one of many ways this can be abused:

What if a socialist nation hates another nation for being capitalist, but never has said anything rude or offensive to a nation?

I should have the right to hate other people, so long as I’m not infringing on their rights.

What does this seek to solve? Can you give an example of a crime that could be committed that is purely hate speech?

Can you have hate speech without harassment? Hate speech without verbal assault?

If harassment needs to be present to be committing hate speech, why not just charge them with harassment?

First of all, yes, like Kris said, this was withdrawn 4 days ago. Second of all, I don't think you really understand the sentence: “Hate Speech and Discrimination shall be defined as hatred or prejudice towards someone for being different” means. It's not about just saying, "oh, I don't like this guy because he is capitalist", it saying really bad and hurtful things, calling them rasist words or terms, doing anything you can to say that they are bad and not giving them basic rights that you give to other people. That's what Hate Speech and Discrimination means.
