Penguin For Penguin Minister: If You’ll Have Me.
Hello all. I am Penguin and I am running for Prime Minister. You may know me from my time in TSP as everything my CoI states. Or you know me as the One on discord that condemns you for your language choices. I am not going to lie to you folks. I have been struggling to come up with a campaign that doesn’t sound stuffy, boring, and old. And it is HARD. I am a Penguin of few words and no flashy things. I can lead the people to the things but they need to make the choices to do the things. I am up against two qualified and capable Legislators and I want to state that both Glen and Prarie are both competent individuals who would do wonderful in this position. However, with the current set up of adding 3 new ministries into the Cabinet I think that I am Exactly what TSP needs right now. I am Momma Penguin. My plans for this term are to let the established Ministers work their platforms while guiding the new Ministers and working with them to ensure that all three of the new Ministries excel to their full potential. I have little doubt that many of the current candidates will be fantastic if elected. I am not here to tell them what to do, but to work with them to implement the ideas they were elected with. While I have a few ideas on how things could work in them, it isn’t up to me on what happens there. It will be up to the Assembly and the Legislators they chose to make Ministers. I don’t want to be a PM who has their hands in all of the pies. I know my strengths and weaknesses. I will also not be a PM who just sits back and looks pretty (even though I am good at it). I want to find a balance between the two and keep TSP happy and nice. We need to be on top form in both Foreign Affairs and Military operations which we currently are. We have the Defender block we are trying to make happen in FA. Whoever gets elected into that position will need to make sure work continues on that. In MA, we have to keep doing what we are doing and kicking toes! Working with our allies and defeating the bad guys - do it! TSP has a great group of candidates for this election cycle and it would be an honor to work with any of them. My goal is to lead and continue to show that TSP is a wonderful place to be. (This was so much longer when I wrote it out on paper....) As always I appreciate and hope for questions. I know that this campaign may not be as wordy as others but sometimes in times of great change, simple is best. It has been sometime since I have actively participated in the Cabinet though. I have held the offices of MoFA, MoRA, as a General in SPSF under Drugged Monkeys like 4 names changes ago. I Had an Interesting run as a GM for a bit. Was in the CSS back when that was a thing. I have been Dean of TSPU in 3 reboots (and currently too I guess when I get it back off the ground!) I was Vice Delegate under Tsu for a term. (Please don’t ask for dates as I have no idea. Suffice to say they were mostly prior to 2016.) I am pretty sure that is everything. Do you believe that the PM should have an explicitly set agenda, or communicate with the Ministers to form an agenda?

I think that depends on the term and what the Minister is trying to bring to the region. This term most of the focus will be on making sure things go well with the 3 new ministries and adjusting things accordingly. I think that as long as the PM is aware of the goals that are set by the Ministers and help keep them on track with open lines of communication - things can be swell. My stance on Media is that we should have more of it. The issue is time and interest. I think on the advice part it is going to depend on who gets elected and what their plans are. Again- it isn't for Me to tell the Ministers what to do - it is for Me to HELP Them accomplish what Their goals are. Youse guys elect the Ministers you think are the best for the position they are applying for. That includes PM.

What would a Penguin administration accomplish in terms of a gameside agenda?

You wanna do right by them and include them in all the things but you also want to respect the fact that they may not want to be bothered. I would LOVE to work with the LC and come up with some RMB only events and find ways to make Forum events have some gameside portions too. If they want. I don't want to push things where they aren't wanted.

Government does not solve problems; it subsidizes them. Government's view of our great region could be summed up in a few short phrases. If it moves, regulate it. If it keeps moving, add another layer of bureaucracy. If it stops moving, turn it into it's own Ministry. Big government is crushing the ingenuity and enterprising nature of the South Pacifican people. What will you do to help them? A vote for RON is a vote for Freedom

This election will decide a great many things going forward and I hope that you all will vote on Merit and not popularity. But however you vote, just make sure you VOTE!! Have a great election season TSP!! :-)
