Vote Belschaft for Minister

And Abolish the Ministry

Hello everyone.

For those of you who don't already know me, let me take a moment to introduce myself. I am Belschaft; former Delegate, current Associate Justice, TSP's resident absurdist, curmudgeonly misanthrope, and the OTP of Glen.

I believe the Ministry of Media is an unnecessary, bureaucratic and meddlesome carbuncle stuck onto our region.

Instead of encouraging aspiring journalists to hold our government to account, it engages them in tiresome regional politics. Whereas independent media is an effective means of helping inform the public and improve TSP, the Ministry of Media is by definition the voice of the government.

The Ministry should be abolished.

If elected Minister I will abolish it.

All current Ministry staff who wish to engage in journalism will be able to do so freely, and I will gladly provide them with assistance in setting up their own media entities or refer them to organisations like SPINN which already operate independently.

Those who simply wish to hold Cabinet office to burnish their CV's will be directed to more productive purposes.

Once the Ministry has been wound down I will then bring forward legislation to permanently close it.
