Lipurration of Liberal Democratic Union: South Pawcific Special Foworces

Fellow South Pawcificans,

At the major update of August 27, invaders from The Black Hawks, Lone Wolves United, the North Pacific Army, Thaemperial Army, and East Pacific Sovereign Army occupied Liberal Democratic Union by making use of a sleeper agent who had previously been intermingling with natives in the region to gain their trust before ultimately betraying them to serve as the lead of the following occupation. The use of deceptive tactics and false identities to undermine the democratic processes of a sovereign region is not a new process for The Black Hawks, who have previously deployed a similar tactic against the Coalition of the South Pacific and its allies. While such a tactic generally gives a considerable advantage to occupiers, this occupation by The Black Hawks and their partners was ultimately doomed to failure, as with their many previous attempts at deception, espionage, and subversion against sovereign regions.

In the subsequent two game updates on August 28, the South Pawcific Special Foworces and our allies and partners first sieged the occupation of Liberal Democratic Union and then successfully liberated it. At major update on August 28, the native Delegate President Chitral updated with 94 endorsements compared to 91 endorsements on the occupying Delegate. For this particular liberation, the SPSF and its partners (particularly the Oworder of the Gwey Wardens and the Rejected Realms Awmy) chose to stage a catgirl themed liberation, each adopting their own flags featuring the above catgirl. In total, fifteen distinct members of the South Pawcific Special Foworces participated in the liberation across the major and minor update of August 28, a high point for turnout in recent times and the second largest contingent of any military in attendance. Additionally, as Minister of Defense I helped coordinate native outreach and diplomatic efforts for the operation and Officer Luca once again expertly set triggers for the liberation. I would like to personally thank the following SPSF personnel for their participation with special thanks to the Milkyway, Jay, and Nicholas who participated in their first ever liberation:

The SPSF was joined in the liberation of Liberal Democratic Union by The Free Nations Defense Association, the Joint Task Force of Augustin Alliance, The League Defense Force, the Royal Alvarez Militia, Rejected Realms Army, Sonindia Anti-raider Armed Forces, The Order of the Grey Wardens, The West Pacific Armed Forces, Founderless Rangers, the Ten-thousand Islands Treaty Organization, Valhalla, and several mercenaries. In total, between all the relevant militaries at both updates over 90 liberators participated, a high point of participation that was unthinkable for defending mere months ago.

As Minister of Defense, I am pleased to report the region Liberal Democratic Union has been returned to its native residents and is now secure behind a hidden password. In an address to their region, President Chitral thanked the liberating forces for their assistance in securing the region. Defenders are currently working with President Chitral and their government to assist in any measures for the long-term security of Liberal Democratic Union, including potential deployment of the Tidal Force in line with the chosen security strategy of the native government. This operation represents not only a victory for the natives of Liberal Democratic Union, but also for the forces of peace and democracy throughout NationStates. The SPSF and its partners have demonstrated that despite a stronger show of force and support by invaders in Liberal Democratic Union than in their similarly fated occupation of Chaylia, we can rise to meet and exceed the challenge to continue the current era of peace and prosperity for founderless regions across NationStates. However, in spite of this, our enemies in raider regions are growing ever stronger, and we must not grow complacent in our effort to create the conditions for growth of sovereign democratic regions around the world.
