PRESS RELEASE     MINISTER'S SPECIAL REPORT ON THE LIBERATION OF TROVONS From the Minister, 8 November 2021 Fellow South Pacificans, Many of you have seen the numerous pings and alerts being posted over the last few days. Many of you have received a direct message from myself or another SPSF official asking for your assistance in one of the largest liberation efforts of the past few years. Today it is my great pleasure to announce that the region of Trovons has been liberated, and is in the process of being returned to native control. The South Pacific Special Forces, along with over one hundred defenders and independent allies from across NationStates, fought tirelessly over the course of two and a half days to free the region, and in a final push that involved well over sixty nations piling into the region in the course of a handful of seconds, overwhelmed the raiders’ attempts to ban and seized control away from them. Now safely in defender hands, the region can be cleared, the raiders sent packing, and native rule restored. I would like to personally extend my thanks to SPSF Officers HumanSanity and Moon, who provided invaluable assistance in the direct-message campaign that served as a real stress test of the SPSF’s outreach, which is an area I’m targeting for significant improvement during my time as Minister. On this note, the General Corps excited to announce that @HumanSanity, for their tireless and continued leadership and demonstrated skill in all areas of defending, has earned a promotion to Commander. Congratulations Commander HumanSanity! A long-overdue promotion if there ever was one. This mission was so important in so many ways: First and foremost, the raiders stooped to a low not seen in a while, ejecting and banning native nations in blatant defiance of their partners’ anti-griefing policies. Second, it showcased just how strong defender forces can be when we dig deep and all commit to an operation. The outreach effort was unparalleled, but the response was even more so. As Minister of Defense, I could not be more proud of these individuals for showing up when it counted and providing their support to a liberation that will go down in the history books. This liberation was truly the most inspiring operation I've ever been a part of. Every single person, from the Generals in the biggest militaries to the mercenaries we picked up from any RP region willing to help were instrumental and this will be remembered for a long time. Amazing report and congratulations HS, <3 SPSF.
