[DISCUSSION] Legislator Committee
#11

I'd like to ask that the proposed amendments get combined into a single bill which complies with the Law Standards Act ‒ breaking the amendment down into its different parts makes sense for explaining, but in order to eventually open a vote, I will need a bill that contains the whole of the proposals as a single document.

I will be withdrawing my motion.

I'd be interested in getting a general overview of what Legcomm does each time they look through an application for legislator (unless such information is not supposed to be public, of course). The Legislator Committee act sets out what legcomm is supposed to discern about the candidate, but as it is a law it does not specify how they are supposed to achieve that.

Without such information, any discussion on how to improve the speed and efficiency of legcomm is rather pointless.
