I didn't even say political parties are a bad idea. It's all 'bout how ya go about it.

RE: The Progressive Party - Tsunamy - 07-21-2014

Honestly guys, I think we should just stop this, because this thread has become something not intended.

Do I think this entire thing is underhanded? Yes.
Does it have anything to do with R/D debate? I'd like to think it doesn't.

I steadfastly hold its a bad idea. But, if they succeed, they'll have the control of TSP they've wanted. If they don't, it'll fizzle out like the other attempts at starting political parties.

Come on!

Yeah, I wouldn't be controlled by evil. And one of the things I learned of being in the government is that you have to try your best to serve the people, not oppress them. Civilians are not mindless drones that do WHATEVER you say. And the people in TSP are brave and courageous. If they weren't, who would had freed TSP from Milograd and the other person/region who took over TSP in its early days?

RE: The Progressive Party - Tsunamy - 07-22-2014

Ya know ... I must say. The more I think about this, the more I think I might have jumped the gun here. Moreover, this party might not be that bad of an idea. As such, I'd like to sign on to the ideals of the Progressive Party, too.

The only thing is that I can't make the first meeting at 7p Sunday. Do we think there's any chance we could move it? Or make sure I get notes from the meeting?

Appreciate it! Looking forward to it.

RE: The Progressive Party - God-Emperor - 07-22-2014

Ya know what? If someone needs minutes for the meetin' taken, I'd be happy to take 'em, and, while I'm at it, I might as well sign up, too, so sign me up! See y'all Sunday.

RE: The Progressive Party - Progressive Party - 07-22-2014

Glad to see some positive responses here!

Tsu: Kringalia also can't attend the first meeting, so perhaps changing the date would be appropriate. If members could suggest dates and time for the first meeting here, that would be perfect! Thank you.

I'm assuming EDT (not EST, there's a difference), since that's what TSP mostly uses.

RE: The Progressive Party - Kris Kringle - 07-23-2014

For the record, I never use EDT. Tounge

RE: The Progressive Party - sandaoguo - 07-23-2014

I've lived in the Eastern Time zone for years, and I still don't understanding when Daylight Savings Time starts and ends. (I grew up in Arizona, which is one of only two states in the US that doesn't observe DST!) So most of the time, when I say "EST" -- it just means whatever time in Eastern Time. Tounge

Though we're looking to see if a different day is better for people, since some have said they can't make it on Sunday.
