I fully missed this discussion until right now.

While I'm all for openness and transparency, I'm hardly going to take flack for not creating some grand announcement that Raven left. Moreover, I don't think there's ever been a time when the resigning minister has left without a public announcement of their resignation — unless it was due to inactivity — so we're in a bit of uncharted waters.

More productively, perhaps we need to figure out what can be assumed to be known through discussions on IRC and what can't.
