RE: [IC] Flash News - Qaweritoyu - 01-12-2018 The Qaz Referendum on Metricism is open all day today. Prime Minister Barrett has bought an old building in Alton City and has started designing, with someone else, a new building for the space the current building occupies. The plan is for the old building to be knocked down, for a spacious new house to be built there, for security around it to be put in place and then for the house to become the new Residence of the Sitting Prime Minister. She hopes that her successor will also move in there the week they are elected, whenever that is. She was also seen out voting in the Referendum today with her husband. The First Gentleman was seen out casting both his and the President's votes in the Referendum today. RE: [IC] Flash News - Qaweritoyu - 01-12-2018 The Qaz Referendum on the Removal of Metricism has concluded. 46% voted for the removal of Metricism. 54% voted against it, thus, Metricism remains in place in Qaweritoyu. [IC] Flash News - Omega - 01-12-2018 "While we acknowledge that the UF still technically exists, we don't see it as having any power and quite simply belive a united approach to be taken through the WF is the best approach for all of Pacifica. While we have no opinion on the Ryccian ascension to the UF, the current administration has no plans of joining it or the SCO in any capacity." -VEP John Colbert speaking to the SE Foreign Affairs Committee. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk [IC] Flash News - Techganet - 01-12-2018 Famous pop singer Michael Jackson has come once again to Techganet, this time for his Dangerous World Tour. The King of Pop will be performing for 3 nights, one more night than usual. This time around, he said, will be more thrilling, as there will be new songs, pyrotechnics, stunts, and even a special guest. Sent from my F5122 using Tapatalk RE: [IC] Flash News - Qaweritoyu - 01-13-2018 Prime Minister Barrett today has appointed Charlotte Jefferson as Minister of International Relations, Natalia Quagmire as Minister of Cover-ups and International Trade, Marleen Wolfeschlegelsteinhausenbergerdorff as Head of the Lieutenant's Secret Service and Johnathon Wallace as Speaker of Parliament. She has said that her time as Prime Minister is going to be a really strong leadership, probably the strongest of the century. Former Prime Minister Conrad Reed has commended Prime Minister Barrett as "a breath of fresh air". President Davis has happily transferred all Trade responsibilities to the new Minister of Cover-ups and International Trade, Natalia Quagmire, including the on-going issue of the Bruuman-Qaz Trade Link. First Gentleman Davis has also happily transferred all Secret Service responsibilities to the new Head of the Lieutenant's Secret Service, Marleen Wolfeschlegelsteinhausenbergerdorff, including the on-going problem of security surrounding the President and her family, the Prime Minister and her family, any Vice-Prime Ministers there may be in future and the Government. Speaker of Parliament Johnathon Wallace has agree with Former Prime Minister Reed's commendation of Prime Minister Barrett. RE: [IC] Flash News - Ryccia - 01-13-2018 The Ryccian Government has announced an ambitious new plan to stop rural decline: the National Railroad. The idea is to connect the country by rail, emphasizing smaller communities so their population does not have to leave in order to look for work, but stay and work in a bigger town. Thus, the youth doesn't have to leave to enjoy prosperity and commodity, as they can live in smaller towns and shop and work in bigger ones. Ryccia is imposing taxes to help fund this programme, and announced that any corrupt officials in the project will be put to death. RE: [IC] Flash News - Qaweritoyu - 01-14-2018 Prime Minister Barrett has said that she would love to be known among the people as a hard worker. First Gentleman Davis has said he thinks he'll never work again. Speaker of Parliament Johnathon Wallace has revealed that he has worked with Joanna Barrett in the past. RE: [IC] Flash News - Qaweritoyu - 01-16-2018 The Government started, yesterday, to discuss Feminism in Qaweritoyu. Issues they are looking at include women's rights, including the right to vote, hold public office, work, earn fair wages or equal pay, own property, receive education, enter contracts, have equal rights within marriage, have maternity leave, bodily autonomy, bodily integrity, protect women and girls from rape, sexual harassment, domestic violence, dress and physical activity. They are also discussing black feminism including sexism, class oppression, gender identity and racism and intersectional feminism including class, race, sexual orientation and gender. They are examining injustice, social inequality such as racism, sexism, classism, ableism, homophobia (LGBT), transphobia (transgenders), xenophobia (distrust of strange or foreign people), bigotry (judging someone on any grounds at all), Persecution (Acts, against someone because of their religion, race, political views, suffering, harassment, imprisonment, internment, fear and pain as a result of such behaviour). Under Marriage Equality, they will also be discussing the Parental Licensing Act 2015. A result on all this is expected on Friday. RE: [IC] Flash News - Omega - 01-16-2018 A sliver of good news came for investors today as the Bank of Pecuniam announced they would be running the next FSoO bond issue this fall. In other news, interest rates are expected to be raised later next month. [IC] Flash News - Seraph - 01-17-2018 The Erinoran government has committed to sending another 5,000 troops to support the 8,000 already present on Sereva in anticipation of a forthcoming offensive. In addition, the 1st and 2nd fleets are to be redeployed to match Bruuman movements and keep the southern Serevan sea clear for further Ryccian reinforcements. Sent from my KOB-L09 using Tapatalk |
