As a response to Ryccia's nuclearization, Ela has announced to "mobilise its armies and prepare for imment nuclear war," and "if nuclear war is to break out between Ryccia and Bruuma, we strongly suggest that sanctions are to be placed on both sides. If this is not the case, Ela will take matters into its own hands, and will do so violently."

Ryccia has reassured Ela that "our nuclear programme is strictly to deter Bruuman communist aggression against the free world. If anyone is going to start the apocalypse, it shall be them"

Ela has stated that "a nuclear war between Ryccia and Bruuma will impact many, if not all, nations, and will leave destruction in its wake. It does not matter who fires first, and we advice Ryccia and Bruuma to denuclearize (and switch to normal warfare) before it's too late."

We remain committed to fully develop our program on the ground of our right to self-defence as a sovereign nation.  We hope that this episode will help other powers in the South Pacific finally realize that our nuclear deterrence would actually be an element of stability for the region” says a press note from the Bruuman government.

In a statement, Ryccia has said that "it is exactly because of Bruuma that we have re-started our nuclear programme. Communist aggression, left unchecked, can threaten not only our nation, but the world. If they had not nuclearized, we would not have taken this monumental decision to begin with"

Ela says that "this feud between Ryccia and Bruuma has boiled over in a way that even nations on the other side of the world will be affected by it, and Ela will not tolerate any further threats of nuclear retaliation. If any nation were to launch nuclear weapons at another nation on this planet, Ela will respond by attacking that nation, regardless of whether it fired first or not."
