A few university students protested against the junta in the city of Seylitch, locking the gates of their campus this morning in defiance of referendum rules. The junta sent tanks to blast it open and troops took the surviving students into custody. Soldiers then identified the leaders and brought a family member from each, executing them in front of the gates before executing the detained students as well. This is the first such concrete case of innocents being executed for having links to dissidents.

Sedunnic king Vimmru calls the latest actions of the Ryccian junta "the greatest show of weakness I have ever seen". Adding further that "they are so insecure about their own abilities and so afraid of facing unarmed teenagers that they react in the meanest and craziest way possible".

The junta has announced that 60.11% of the electorate have backed the SAC on a 83.24% turnout. The lower-than-expected result is meant to signify that non-confrontational dissent will be tolerated, according to analysts.

In a televised speech, President-Prime Minister Lily Stloncht, flanked by her interim ministers, has announced that the Mirrey government "claims responsibility for the tactical strikes on insubordinate and usurping military facilities in the Ryccian Mainland. We will continue to coordinate a resistance against the illegitimate dictatorship".

As the final weeks of the school year come to an end, legislation from the conservative government of Valkyrie Mountbatten comes into force which prohibits religiously affiliated schools and universities. The current liberal government has further made clear that it does not except religious beliefs to be taught as fact, and the topic of religion should only be broached in an academic context.

A coalition of Ryccia's largest private companies, directors from Ryccia's most prominent state-owned corporations and Ryccia's largest worker's unions have issued demands to the SAC, such as a cancellation of the increase to military spending from $200 billion to $480 billion, repeal of all internet restrictions imposed by the junta, respect for civil liberties, restoration of the independence of the judiciary, guarantees of stable economic policy, and a plan to transition from the current military regime towards a return to democracy. Should they not be met, the conglomerates have stated that they will "shut down the economy immediately". It is believed that fears of international isolation, both economic and PR-wise, have business interests concerned.
