It was understood the Prime Minister would be appointing one Deputy but he said that 'two Deputies will ensure stability in the governance of our country'. He also announced that he is stepping down as Leader of the Eastern Theocratic Group after leading them to a large success in June 2022. He said that he will step down as Leader, and therefore as Prime Minister, on 3 August. He said his Party will be appointing a new Leader on 2 August, who will take over as Leader and Prime Minister on 4 August. He assured the public that this was not a change of Government, not an election, merely a change of Prime Minister.
