No. But we can utilize the portal (http://thesouthpacific.org/portal.php) and configure it to show announcements from a central announcements forum.

This is definitely a good tool, but perhaps we could improve upon it by incorporating a new section in our forums dedicated entirely to updates and discussions of said updates?

Unless we already have this tool and I am just wasting everyone's time, in which case I apologize.

Edit: Or we could make it possible to reply to the topics in this portal. Also, a welcoming pm should be created (if possible) that supplies newly arriving forum goers with important topics and portals such as this one.

1. That's what I mean by "central announcements" forum.

2. It's not possible to allow replies from the portal itself. You're straying into areas where we'd have to write our own plugins, which isn't easy.

3. If the Cabinet gives us a welcome PM, we can send one to every new users. We've had that ability since the forums were created, actually.

1: Wonderful! I wasn't 100% sure so I thought I'd raise the point

2: Understandable.

3: Well then let's get on it!!!

(Points at cabinet)

Looking at you.

Can you not use the Brainstorming forum?

RE: Admin/Mod Requests - Tsunamy - 01-10-2016

That's a good idea Kris. I didn't realize that was still active.

Before we use that — do we want to do something with the threads in there? Archive or delete them? They're pretty much just from the election brainstorm, but idk if we want to keep them?

I also didn't even notice that was still around. That works for me.

I'd really appreciate the Discord link getting added soon.

I feel like we can find a better place to put that ... but it should be g2g now.
