I was on this board during the coup, and there was nothing about any ban then - I can only assume I am, given the speed of that denial.

The Empire is designated as a Prohibited Group under Article 4 of the Criminal Code, and as membership of it is.... well, prohibited.

I see. And how might I appeal this?

The designation or your identification as an Empire member?

RE: Citizenship Applications - Tyegëa - 05-28-2016

I, Vlisse, accept the terms and conditions of the Charter of the South Pacific.
World Assembly Nation: None.
I am associated with, or have been associated with, the following regions and organisations: TBR/DEN (fmr), TEP, Balder, KoA, LKE, KGB, UKN (fmr), Unknown, OFO, TCB, Euro, TBH, GC (fmr) and a few more.

The Empire has been dead for years, but there's no way I can actively fight that designation, we all know it to be so.

Given that Empire never operated in TSP, and since that time I'd actively helped liberate your region, I'd like to appeal the blanket ban. Which seems to have been put in place *after* I was part of SAC.

It's probably worth pointing out that under the new Charter this thread and its applications are technically null, since Citizenship no longer exists.

If I'm not mistaken, does that mean that once you register you can start posting? (Sorry if I got this wrong)

You could start posting anyway (but I understand how that might not seem very clear).  Citizenship was mainly about the ability to vote on legislation.  The new charter, however, has declared all nations in the South Pacific as legislators.

Not entirely true. The new Charter only stipulates that all nations resident in the South Pacific are eligible to apply for Legislator status, subject to approval at the Chair's discretion (ie: that said nation not seeking membership in bad faith, are not attempting to obscure their identity, are not attempting to join with multiple nations, and the Council on Regional Security does not declare them a significant risk to regional security.)

My apologies. I should have re-read it and reminded myself before posting that reply.

RE: Citizenship Applications - Farengeto - 05-30-2016

Even on the old Charter the only things Citizenship did is legislative rights and the ability to run for office. Outside of government there's not much restrictions.
