As well as working on my NaNo novel (and falling behind on my word count), I did another thing:

Be Thou my Vision (a capella version).

It seemed as good a song as any to work on a Celtic-style vibrato.

I've been in a very singing sort of mood these past few days, but recovering from a cold kinda made it difficult to do a decent recording. I made this attempt this morning, however, and I'm mostly happy with it. The practices almost invariably go better than the actual recording attempts, it seems.

Anything But strong (a cappella) originally by Eurythmics.

This is one of my all-time favourite songs. It was a comfort to me during my lowest moments in my early twenties and it means a lot to me still. I'd have liked to have put more emotion into it, but the effect of hitting the record button tends to make me suddenly self-conscious and I don't always manage to put my all into it. Sad Maybe next time?

Well lucky you Seraph. I used to be good at singing. But years of loud argument deteriorated it. I am desperately finding lessons. There is one thing I'm really good at. I can cook anything for the lowest Budget. It's not like as if my family is struggling. But they're teaching me ahead to prepare myself meals when I eventually become a college student who earns his own slightly above minimum wage.

It's been ages since I last posted anything here (or anyone else, for that matter), but here's a festive offering:
O, Holy Night (a capella).
