At this point (as of 9:00 PM UTC-3) we here at SPN would like to call the elections. For the Prime Minister Elections, the incumbent PM Drugged Monkeys has won by a large margin and this can also be said for Sandaoguo in the Chair of Assembly Elections. Incumbent Minister of Regional Affairs, Seraph has won re-election with nearly 90% of the popular vote. General Vietnam has also won the Minister of Military Affairs by a huge margin. Meanwhile after a very tight race for the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Escade has won by a relatively slim margin over Belschaft.

Please do stay updated for the official results which will be released later. Thank you and good day South Pacific!

LC election update: we are now going into the 3rd round of LC elections. Spenty (Pederal na Republika Ng Pilipinas) has taken an early lead appears to have been endorsed by Cormac (who is a candidate). Sources inside the APC report they will be block voting for him this round. We will not call the election for at least 23 more hours.

At this point, we here at SPN feel confident that Spenty will be elected to the 3rd Local Council seat.

RE: SPN Election Headquarters - Omega - 05-08-2017

SPN is now projecting that Cormac will be the next Chair of the Assembly.

RE: SPN Election Headquarters - Omega - 06-01-2017

Good evening everyone. With elections set to begin in a few minutes, we would like to provide a few reminders about how these elections will function.
The elections will last for a period of 13 days; 3 days for nominations, 7 days for campaigns and 3 days for voting.
Only legislators may vote.
The following positions are up for elections:
  • Prime Minister
  • Minster of Foreign Affairs
  • Minister of Military Affairs
  • Minister of Regional Affairs
The elections act does mandate that anyone seeking one of these positions may not hold equivalent office elsewhere, however, it is unclear if and how this will be enforced.

Voting will use instant runoff voting, with a candidate winning upon receiving a simple majority of those voting. By our current estimates that means that if every legislator voted, a candidate would need 28 votes.  Re-open Nominations (RON) is treated as a candidate for the election.

SPN will be looking to hold debates for contested elections. We will announce if we will.
