Legislators, Please be advised that the vote to amend Articles 1 and 2 of the Regional Communications Act has failed. The final tally is 19 in favour, 26 in opposition, with 9 abstaining, for a total of 54 votes. The vote was failed with 42.2% voting in favour, and therefore does not meet the requirement for a simple majority of those voting in favour, with the exclusion of abstentions.1 A spreadsheet of the vote breakdown is attached for your convenience. |
