Due to exceptional circumstances, I'll revive this thread yet again.
Venezuela's Supreme Court has "ruled" that because of the situation of "contempt, which persists in the National Assembly", it will exercise, indefinitely, all the powers usually allocated to the legislature. I'm not exaggerating when I say all; it can essentially create its own laws now. As it is painfully obvious, this move effectively dissolves the Assembly. This is a self-coup, similar to the one Fujimori did in Peru twenty years ago. There's no question about it. Now, for all intens and purposes, I'm living in a fucking dictatorship. Sources:
