Friends, comrades, fellow legislators, I come humbly before you to announce my resignation, effective at 22:00 CST, on the 1st of February, 2017, after wich I will be a legislator.

The concerns raised by those who wish to recall me are all valid. I am not the Chair this Assembly deserves. I do not believe I can provide any valid reason for my inefficiency other than my own life and I believe this Assembly will greatly benefit from a Chair who is not a member of a high school band and debate team (go t-wolfs!). This Assembly deserves a Chair better than myself and I do not wish to drag this Assembly through a recall that ultimately will prove that very point. And to whoever gets the opportunity to sit as Chair for the next 4 months, best of luck; I can't wait to see what you do. And to those of you who believed in me, you will never know how much it meant to me.
