Several times, Melix has sought out real life information about other players without their consent (or in some cases knowledge), such as location, name, and photos, violating the privacy they should be able to expect in our community. There is a clear pattern of Melix ignoring other people’s boundaries. Most seriously, Melix has repeatedly contacted multiple female players to ask sexual questions. These players were predominantly minors, the same age as Melix. These ranged from anatomical questions to asking detailed questions about their personal sexual activity and bodies. He shared inappropriate and unwanted levels of detail about his own sexual activity and attraction to these players. He also repeatedly made unwanted romantic and sexual advances, ignoring that these were not reciprocated. Several times, he has apologized and acknowledged that his behaviour was inappropriate; but this did not result in a change of behavior. For our community to be safe, we need to be secure in the knowledge that everyone’s privacy, boundaries, and consent will be respected. Therefore, we have taken the decision to permanently ban Melix from the South Pacific.
