I had issued my concerns on the actions of an elected official, and given the response I received it felt appropriate to put that statement on the public record. As I said in my post, I don't like it when people try to hide away these political concerns in a private chat rather than state it to the region. This region is still a democracy and all I asked for was some simple accountability.

I mean, my general concern is two-fold. I don't think we should be in habit of making believed private communication public without consent or knowledge of the person. I know things I say privately could be hurtful if released publicly and — for the most part — I attempt to be really tactful when making public assertions about others.

My issue isn't with the accountability or with you wanting Omega to state this publicly. I just want to make sure people know where their communication is ending up and making sure it doesn't inadvertently hurt others. That's all.
