It's going to itch anyway; that's what happens when tissue is healing. So don't think about it. Chew a gum or go draw or something.

Gotta' be careful with what cream I use, most will pull out ink so I'm using a nappy rash cream. Applying it feels so damn goooooood, it's the only relief I get. I totally haven't been distracting myself by drawing weird tiny pixel things for my nation at all, nope. 8D
