In a special election for Speaker of the Regional Assembly, Bootsie defeated Stalin1953 unanimously with 27 votes. Also, declarations of candidacy for the March 2015 Justices and Attorney General elections may now be made.

The special election for Delegate will conclude on March 4.

New Delegate of The North Pacific

It is with great pleasure that I announce The Democratic Republic of Tomb as the new Delegate for The North Pacific. Tomb, having been a part of TNP for a year tomorrow, has risen through the government of TNP. He has won the election by a large margin, and is ready to take office. Tomb has served TNP gracefully throughout his time here. He has served in the North Pacific Army, ambassador to various regions, Minister of Home Affairs, various Deputy Minister positions and Journalist of The Northern Lights. He has personally welcomed every new member to the region and does his best to help his fellow countrymen. He is one of the of the most dedicated members of this region and I look forward to working with him in the coming term. Congratulations Tomb!

Here are TNP's May 2015 General Election winners:
Delegate:
The Democratic Republic of Tomb (54 out of 90 votes)

Vice Delegate:
SillyString (47 out of 90 votes)

Speaker of the Regional Assembly
Tie between Crushing Our Enemies and RPI (both receiving 40 out of 90 votes)

There is also currently a runoff election for speaker taking place between Crushing Our Enemies and myself, which ends at 1:30 PM on May 16 CDT.

Other news: Tomb has resigned from the delegacy despite just being reelected. TNP's current acting delegate is SillyString and our current acting vice delegate is Romanoffia. Tomb did not give many details as to why he resigned.
