Speaking from my experience of getting around the User CP bugs, simply:

Make the changes
Click "update"
Error occurs
Click "back"
Refresh page
Profit

This seems to work with pretty much every User CP bug.

I can't view from mobile, but if you have links in your signature, you may be able to get around the bug by removing all links.

Perhaps it might be a good idea to create a list of known bugs and any solutions for said bugs. Pin it so everyone can easily find a solution to their problem before resorting to seeking a solution from the admins.

I shouldn't have any links, and I still can't update it.

If you get an error message, please post that here.

Doesn't that big Vote for Me pic require a link? Maybe that's the problem?

I was having issues with updating my profile even after I removed any links. I wonder if it has to do with the "http://" that's pre-filled in the your website section? Maybe that's why?
