Nooooo Melisandre is too interesting of a character! The Red Priests are one of few characters that are actually magic in ASOIAF.

I wonder if they'll do in the show what was done in the books, as far as that scene goes...

I don't really know the books and I am not a fan of people who burn people but I imagine if she were dead then Stannis couldn't try to be King and there would be one less crazy villain.

I wish there were a little more magic overall in the show, that would be cool.
