The Armenian Genocide
#1

The perpetrator was the Young Turks(organization), it killed 1.5 million Armenians, 450,000 Anatolian Greeks and 300,000 Anatolian Assyrians and the current Turkish government refuses to recognize it.

Its the Armenian Genocide.

This year is the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide. What do you think about it? Was it a genocide or not?

I believe that it was a genocide because although yes, anti-turk armenians killed a lot of turks, the Ottoman Empire oppressed them first for being christians and for them, they were unworthy and they thought that the armenians would support Russia in the Russo-Turkish Wars. I believe it is a genocide because:

A. The Ottoman Empire(controlled by Young Turks) started killing them for being armenians and for being christian
B. More than half of the 2 million armenians living in the Ottoman Empire were slaughtered(dead: 1.5 million)
C. They feared that they would support Russia(and why would you exterminate a whole ethnic group just for that?! Get them on your side!), so they just killed them
D. The armenian homeland was not just present-day Armenia, but Eastern Anatolia and some parts of the nations bordering Armenia as well. After the genocide, there were almost no traces of armenians in those areas left.

What does TSP think about this?

Is pretty obvious that it is a genocide.
