They are seen as the founders of Ryccia. So, they get autonomy, according to the ancient Autonomous Realms Accord of 600 AD. Since the accord is "indestructible for Ryccia or a successor state containing Ry and Cia", it has been followed to this day. The Ryccian Kingdom continued until 1925, when it was overthrown by the Ryccian Democratic Republic, so the accords were kept, and surprisingly followed by the new republic(Ryccia is not an unitary state, but rather a federal-ish state. Just replace division with state, and the "autonomous divisions" get greater autonomy and liberties than the others. But all divisions have autonomy, like the USA today. Its states have some sort of self-government, or so I've heard).
