2016 in America
#551

I want to add to Resentine's point. Clinton's campaign hasn't been perfect either. In New Hampshire, Madeleine Albright, who was campaigning with Hillary Clinton and talking about women supporting Bernie Sanders, said, "There is a special place in hell for women that don't help each other." You said you wouldn't vote for Sanders because his supporters (actually one supporter) used the word, "whore." Would you give Hillary a break for this statement by Albright?

In fact, US elections are secondary to my more immediate concerns: the presidential runoff in Peru. I just think it's disingenuous for you to say you want a serious debate, when the last time someone engaged you your response was to blatantly ignore their arguments.

I'm also not an American, yet I'm debating this. Currently I'm more concerned about the Scottish Parliamentary election and the EU Referendum. I think it's disingenuous for you to attack me and then refuse to debate me. You clearly cared enough to have a wee jab at me yet when push you suddenly aren't interested due to more pressing matters.

I'll be honest. I don't have any intention to debate Bernie Sanders with you. I don't have the data readily available, and I can't be bothered to do the research to make an informed post on the matter. And that's the thing. You're accusing me of not wanting to debate your points. And you're right: I don't.

What happens here is it doesn't bode well with me when someone claims to want an even debate, but obviously (and everyone is seeing this, make no mistake) you just ignore or diminish opposing views. Your basic argument is "Bernie is awful", and when someone points out the flaws in your argument, you either ignore them or...ignore them. Because you still haven't addressed any of Resentine's points from weeks ago.

So, for all you say you want to have a debate, and accuse me of not wanting to debate, the truth is I'm upfront about not being interested in debating you, but you're being two-faced about it. If you're not interested in being disproven, or at least softening your position, that's entirely valid, and I can understand that. But be honest about it. Because you can ask anyone here, and I can guarantee they'll all say they don't think you really want to have an even debate.

Holy Crap that debate was scary! They hate each other now, and to be honest I don't think either won that debate.

I'll give a full response to Kris and other later in the day, but I'll just say Kris I thought you were better than this and better than me.

I think this sums up why I would vote for Clinton rather than Sanders and I think you Sanders supporters should have a good long think before you cast your vote.

HA! HA! WOW!

Yeah, that article was pure pro-Clinton propaganda. So much so I decided to look Chris Sosa, the guy who wrote it, up. His own Salon profile describes him as "a New York City-based campaign manager and political commentator."

And who was he a campaign manager for? Why, Hilary Clinton, of course.

He's about as much a "democratic socialist" as Donald Trump is pro-immigration. This was an attack piece written by a Clinton staffer pretending to be a socialist to score extra shock value.

This is a prefect example of the type of campaign Hilary is running, a dishonest one.

Wolf shut up quite frankly. Just because someone is a Clinton supporter that does not mean he is not a democratic socialist. I'm a democratic socialist yet I don't support Sanders. While we're on about dishonest campaigns I might point out that Sanders said Clinton talk him "unqualified" but in fact she refused to do so. So it seems your beloved Sanders isn't as honest as you think.
