Obergefell v. Hodges

I facepalm at those saying that the institution of marriage and religious freedom are under attack. Like, seriously, nobody is saying your churches have to recognise same-sex marriage, what the ruling says is the government must do it. But then, I'm trying to use logic. Tounge

I recall seeing a Facebook post saying that America has brought down the wrath of God. I welcome it XD

As I said on IRC tonight: "Quite frankly, we're all humans. White, black, straight, gay, [raider, defender], why should anyone care? If you are a good person, that's the only thing that should matter."

Don't cloud the truth with facts, Kris! [emoji14]

Really, though. I've got gay friends, and I'm glad the government must now give them (and their partners) the federal benefits they deserve.

Really though, it's the same like ALS. It's great and all, and I like the enthusiasm. I feel that this is increasing the ability for people to tolerate one another. One thing I can't stand is people who can't tolerate the existence of others that devote themselves to a different religion, belief, culture, etc.

Though it's only in USA (Which kept on using hyperbola in every news they post), it gave other nations something to think about, which is great. LGBT people should not live under scrutiny and fear.

However, there is one thing that makes me feel uneasy

In Indonesia, there are still people who are stranded in the streets. Homeless, famine, disease, inequality, rubbish, pollution, corruption, you name it.

I've known a kid, same age as me, and from when I was 5 years old until the time I'm 16, this kid is still there, still begging under the red light. I still remembered of the many people stuck in poverty in Indonesia, and people only cared about putting their PP in rainbow colours for the sake of the cause, or to follow a trend they saw on the internet.

There are many things that need more attendance from the public, and I'm afraid that this movement makes everyone forget about the wars and the poverty for a second. Let me tell you, never forget that there's a bigger war outside.

You are truly right. I didn't knew how much poverty there is in your country. Yeah, I always knew that Indonesia is poor, but I did not expect famine. May poverty be eliminated in the future.

It is an insult if you say that we are poor.

Some people are starving sure, and there are some inequality in their incomes. However, never say that we are poor. We are a rich country, it only receives bad management, that's all.

We are a strong country and emerging to be a powerhouse in Asia.
