Alas, we can't throw people in jail. The only meaningful penalties aside from banishment are the restriction of rights.

Would the subclause 'reconcile contradictions in the Charter' allow the court to correct numberin' and letterin' issues in the Charter, if a legal question was raised?

I don't believe so, no. We have no power to alter the text; what it allows is for us to interpret the Charter if two sections seem to contradict, and decide what it means.

I have a draft of Rules of Procedure, and some connected amendments, a few posts up. It's essentially ready to go, but I'm worried it may be too complicated for realistic use. I'm concerned about a possible TNP style farce.

I'd appreciate your input on it.

That's what I figured.

I don't think it's too complicated for realistic use. It spells out everything, provides everyone with exactly what is required for legal proceedings, how to use the system, and how the system will function. I think it's great.
