Kerbal Space Program
#11

Thought I would share my ongoing Mun Station mission. IT currently has a mass of 32.2t and currently holds a crew of 8, with two more currently in the supply pod. The station orbits less than ten kilometers above the Mun's equator, passing less than 2km above the mountains on its closest approach.

This is following the fourth stage. First mission delivered the forward command module, second mission delivered the midsection. The third mission was supposed to deliver two arms to the forward section, however power issues resulted in one colliding with the munar surface. (Fortunately no Kerbals were killed) The fourth mission delivered the first of two supply pods.

Upcoming additions:
  • Second supply pod
  • Replacement forward arm
  • Forward Arm extensions
  • Rear section(s)
  • Fuel storage and ore storage/processing facilities
At completion the station will have two supply pods attached at all times. Each carries a crew of up to three, with six emergency seats in case an evacuation is necessary.
