The tragedies in Paris is chilling, radical islamists claim the attack, but perhaps it's planted by someone else.

Stuff like this is occuring all the time. It will be only a matter of time before it happens here. It seems to dangerous to be living in a Western Country right now.

I think things need to be kept in perspective. The West is not going down in flames, and as horrible as I think this (and any other) attack is, it is not a daily occurrence. It's not as simple as saying: "We have Muslims here, there's bound to be an attack".

It shouldn't be saying if you have Muslims. Muslims are not the cause of terrorist attacks. Extremists are who call themselves Muslims, but aren't. There's a distinct difference between Muslims and terrorists.

Terrorists can be of any nationality and/or religion. The stereotype of the foreign danger is the one to blame for islamophobia and xenophobia.
If instead of ISIS we had, say, Christians, everybody wouldn't suddenly be afraid of Christians. |
