Climate Change-COP21
#1

You have been told many times that Climate Change is extremely dangerous, however what you may not know is that if we don't act now Climate Change will kill us.

Throughout the world's history every mass extinction has been caused by large changes to the climate. It's happening right now and we are causing it.

This is a plea from me to ask you to sign this petition, ask your friends and family to sign it too and share it on social media.

https://secure.avaaz.org/en/100_clean_yt/

The upcoming confrence in Paris is the most important confrence in the world's history, what happens there will affect the world forever.

For the sake of yourself, your children and your children's children sign this petition and get as many people as you can to sign it too.

Together we can stop Climate Change however we can only do it together.

Nuclear energy is the only practical solution if you want reliable energy that can be controlled. Environmentalists are more about ideology than the enviroment. Even if a bulk generation method minimizes the environmental footprint of each KWH even compared to PV solar or wind they oppose it by default. You cannot minimize humanity's environmental footprint with inefficient, diffuse energy sources. Overall, I recommend everyone signing that petition to take a crash course in economics before doing so.

Ok then would you rather we did nothing and in the end humans die out? This is right wing propaganda and it's proven to be false. The fact is it's much much cheaper to invest in renewable in the long term. Yes it is a little price in the short term however in the long term you will save a good few billion pounds dollars whatever.

So I recommend you get your fact right first. And I would also like to say I think knowing that Planet Earth will be habitable for humans and other life is more important than your bank account or the amount of money your government makes.

I would also like to point out that renewable energy is becoming much cheaper the more we invest in it.

Still expensive enough to discourage many countries from switching over and ruining their infrastructure.

The common misconception is that the carbon emissions are only produced on energy and electricity production, it isn't, carbon emission exists in every single part of our world. Like it or not, carbons would still be exhausted to our atmosphere, either naturally (peatlands is one) or by humans.

Wind power and solar are quite nice, but incredibly costly. Technologies are being researched in order to lower price and increasing the reliability of these innovations.

If one would like to go green fast, why not use natural gas? Biomass? Buy more organic products, and use natural additives instead of chemical additives. So on and so forth.

Rhino's right. Nuclear is the best option.

For those who can. For those who can't, we can still use biomass and natural gas.

Geothermal works for volcanically active areas. Countries with rivers or seas can put in hydroelectric turbines.

If renewables are so bad then how come more than 50% of Scotland's energy is from renewables?
