Food of your TSP nation

National Beverage

GI-Land, if you don't already have noticed it, is crazy about and very famous for cocoa! Cocoa powder and whipped cream on top of the beverage are almost standard and some luxurious cocoa machines can even do that automatically.

When cocoa isn't available or just doesn't fit to the meal, water (carbonated!) and the so called "Spezi", a mix out of a caffeine containing sparkling drink and a sparkling drink that tastes like orange, is also very much liked throughout GI-Land and can be found in every good Gianlucian restaurant.

Gianlucian Breakfast

Also in GI-Land there is a huge breakfast culture. Not only that it got hundreds of versions of bread, but also many versions of meat and other cold cuts you can put on those slices of bread.
The most famous things to put on a bread are:

The Atlantics adopted this dish from the Germans called "Rührei" ("scrambled eggs"), but often use also some kind of algae instead of parsley as herbal, which gives the entire dish a new twist to it. Versions with bacon are also known.

Little slices of dark bread can get prepared like this. You need some cream cheese, dill and smoked Salmon. It can even be just a little snack, but is most famous for its role as breakfast food.

Small bread rolls are often the basis of a good breakfast, so if you want to do this early meal in a Gianlucian way: Don't forget those!

National Dishes

GI-Land got two different influences for its food culture. One comes from the state today known as "Lesser GI-Land", where people mainly ate meat. On the other hand we got the formerly Atlantic states today known as "Greater GI-Land" and "Atlantis", where people mainly ate fish and other products from the sea.
Let's take a look on all the famous and notable Gianlucian national dishes that you have to know (sorted by course type)!

National Appetizer

While Lesser GI-Land doesn't really focus much on things like appetizers, the former nation of Atlantis did. A salad out of Algae should start almost every good meal. It contains of green algae, oil, sugar, sesame, chilli and vinegar.

National Main Courses

Here we see best the division of (Lesser) GI-Land and Atlantis. While GI-Land likes its meatballs with potato salad very much, Atlantis focused on fish that gets served with pasta and vegetables like spinach.

National Desserts

Typical Gianlucian desserts are cold. Small spheres out of cream cheese and cookie dough coated in chocolate (white and dark alike), which get frozen are as common and liked as normal so called "Florida", which is known around the world as "ice cream", although it got a more solid consistency, but still feels very smooth on your tongue.

A note to Gianlucian National Alcoholic Beverages

Alcoholic beverages aren't as common in GI-Land as they are perhaps around the world. Nevertheless it should be said, that GI-Land got a huge culture of making beers, especially beers out of apples.

Atlantics also brew coloured beer for centuries now after creating a recipe, which makes a beer "look like our home, the sea".
Other colours than blue were later on introduced.
