...And of course, I've been extremely busy and nothing has been confirmed yet.

All I can say is just keep your eyes open until I can provide any confirmed material.

Sorry. :s

I know, I know, no need for me to say this, but I want to let you all know that we here in Kennan still do care about our relations with TSP.

Updates will come soon...whenever my life permits it.

I Hear You Knockin', But You Can't Come In

Oh yes, we were ready.
As has been for the past few years, the world of NationStates suffered a zombie attack. The region did very well on the first two, but this time, the region was looking to set a new standard never met by the region: no deaths. This went very well; except that one nation managed to kill 132 million of their own citizens. Still, it was a very un-fatal apocalypse for the region, as we were able to finish in 92nd on NS for the "Most Survivors with No Infected". Hey, it's something; and considering we didn't reach any Top 100 boards last year (just missed it, in fact), we'd like to call it a success.

Smooth Seas Do Not Make Skillful Sailors

Things are once again changing in Kennan's political values; even if some of us refuse to accept it.

This most recent election brought to us a reality that things were not as they used to be. Never before has such an event happened where a nation not around at the beginning of this region's founding gained 50% or more of the vote, but that is exactly what happened when the Republic of Guadalajara ran against Ethan Foley; a well known nation who has been delegate more than anyone else except for the Sandwich Territories. Due to run-off policies, and the fact that Guadalajara was never in the WA, Ethan Foley became delegate with 50% of the vote, but it showed that something had to give. This region needed something new to happen, something fresh. If you were to go back and read previous issues of this report, you would hear about "conservatism", "isolationism", and "old values". Now, with those issues dealt with and a stable community with new nations adding to the population of the region at a slow but steady rate (which is nice because it is easy to deal with...), it was time to ramble on to new things for this region. For the 2nd time in this region's history, poltical parties will now play a factor in voting procedures in the region. At this time, there are three parties; The United Kennan Coalition (UKC), the Kennan Civic Party (KCP), and the Communist Worker's Party of Northern Kennan (CWPNK). The UKC has the most members (five) and is in control of the WA Delegacy spot (and has both Ethan Foley and Guadalajara as members). The KCP has three members, as it is the most exclusive out of the parties in terms of qualifications (it is a strictly neutral party). Meanwhile, the CWPNK only has one member (USSEH) and looks to be a radical party. On the spectrum, the KCP is centre-"slightly leaning left", the UKC is centre-right, and the CWPNK is far-right politically with far left social stances (social fascism). Needless to say, it will be interesting to see how these parties react, and if there will be any more created.

Getting Back to the Basics
It's what we do best here in Kennan.

People of TSP, you might be glad to hear that we are trying to re-invigorate our foreign policy, and we plan to become more involved with the regions that we like to consider our allies. With new ambassadors on the rise and more of a foreign reach desired by many nations in Kennan, it would be correct to say that we want to make sure that our appreciation for these regions are known. Hopefully, our relations are doing well, even though there has been a lack of communication recently between our regions (mainly due to people in our region being busy with real life, and the fact that we are a rather insignificant region, but eh, you get the idea). As the official ambassador of Kennan to TSP, I would like to ask of our region if we may receive a diplomat from here to give us updates, as we (as a region) are interested in the happenings of our longest-standing ally, if that is possible at this time. Geomania's Office is still open, so if anyone would be willing to take it over and keep us informed, we would appreciate it. Many thanks from the region in advance.

Well, that's it for now. Thanks for reading the Kennan Consulate Report once again, mes amis. If you have any questions or feedback, feel free to leave a reply. Until next time, stay classy, San Diego.
