It really depends on what you want to define as a newbie.
I'm pretty sure I know what goes on here, so I have an understanding a newbie wouldn't. Unless you can enlighten us with your old people knowledge, you cannot call me stuff I'm not.

I think you can regain your citizenship as long as you comply with the requirements

It's not like Zak should've known that someone had PMed you asking about that, and that your post was in response to that PM, and to your own concerns that people might be confused. As awesome as Zak is (he is), he's still no psychic. His was an entirely reasonable conclusion to reach.
