Managed to "finish" The Good Soldier Švejk (in quotes because it was never finished).

Did you enjoy the book?

Yeah, I did. Even if it's only half of what the author intended, it's a pretty good book and a good representation of how life was back in that era. It would have been better if the author hadn't died halfway, but it's still good.

Finally started watching Attack on Titan thanks to this anime streaming website I've joined. I just keep piling more and more new anime into my queue, though - it's dangerous. This is what happens when budget and circumstances force you to give up on watching new anime for the best part of a decade...

Just watched a fantastic Scottish Opera performance of The Mikado.

I am watching Everybody Loves Raymond. May not be like media media but its an awesome show.

I've never really enjoyed Everyone Loves Raymond. Over here it's one of those sitcoms that gets relegated to daytime mornings. I guess it just doesn't appeal all that much to the British sense of humour.

Watched the pilot episode of Star Wars: Rebels (on it's own DVD release, with a few extras), which my daughter (read: my wife) got me for Father's day and immediately requested we watch. I was very impressed. It was more Disney in appearance and tone than The Clone Wars (is it me or does Ezra look, sound and act an awful lot like Aladdin?) but managed to maintain much of what made the other series so great and tie it all together better with the tone of the original trilogy. I can't wait to get the actual series on DVD now...

Also my daughter (2 1/2) loved it.

My English class is reading the Romeo and Juliet Graphic Novel, however we get the original text while others get the translation. It's really painful to read...

I find it's worth sticking with the original text for Shakespeare's works. It's hard work, but it's rewarding.
