Termination of Relations with the South Pacific
#11

I can only echo what our PM so eloquently put: it is unfortunate diplomatic ties have been severed, however our differing ideologies in the realm of government have made this almost unavoidable. I do hope though, that one day the people of Osiris one day adopt a completely fair and democratic government, and that when that day comes the people of TSP and Osiris will see each other as brothers in freedom. However, untill that day I say to the people of Osiris: I'll see you soon.
Above all else, I hope to be a decent person.

I can only assume you missed the part about no one in Osiris wanting what you call "a completely fair and democratic government," presumably because their experience with such a government, both in Osiris and elsewhere (here, for example), has lead them to the conclusion that the system of government you advocate is neither fair, nor truly democratic, nor at all conducive to the type of regional community they want.

It's mystifying to me why the South Pacific believes it's preferable for a region to have a system of government the people of that region do not want, just because that's your system of government, than to have the system of government that actually works for them. Ah well.

Lobbing personal insults, such as calling people childish, won't be tolerated in areas I moderate.

Except of course when they're lobbed at people you don't like, or when you're the one lobbing them as has happened in the past, in which case you remain silent.
