After over 60 years since its first maiden flight, the SST-(MV) Mehve 5 is back in the skies. The supersonic planes, which were preserved in the museum for years, have been refurbished and are now operational in its first maiden route, the Lian-Grovne line that cut travel between the South Pacific Ocean from 6 hours to 3.30. Even in 20XX the plane managed to cut intercontinental travel by the same amount.

The SST Mehve 5 story, originally the CM SST Mach, is a story laden with technological and economical challenges. Even after its maiden flight the plane had some vast economical issues, including its limitations due to loud sonic booms and environmental damage, seeing lines such as the Lian-Atlantis and the Stockholm-Castiana flights serving a mere 1 week before disbandment.

The Lian-Grovne Line has been flying since the 25th and will begin taking passengers on the 29th. The tickets are about 20% cheaper than its original flight, and slightly more expensive than commercial carriers. Economists say that both Huawan Intercontinental and Cross Pacific Airlines would not make much profits from this flight due to the thirsty and uneconomic nature of the Mehve 5, but insiders report that Huawan Intercontinental is looking to gauge the current market for Supersonic air travel. As of now, seats for planes on both lines have been booked full for the next week.

GID-20, what do we know?

Recent widespread infections of the GID-20, a new strand of the norovirus that supposedly originated in Eggraria, has left many countries in lockdown and quarantine. While other countries such as Gi-land has relaxed its borders from the recent ban, some countries such as Ryccia has enacted what many observers deem radical, saying that citizens are to be quarantined or face swift execution, sparking criticism from the Prime Minister of Antarcha.

Although Huawan and its cooperatives have yet to confirm a case of the GID-20, the Royal Palace have enacted various countermeasures. Ranging from widespread antiseptic spraying, the inactivation of visas and forced quarantine for tourists. The Octagon of Health has recently made a statement that although GID-20 has yet to be in Peonic territory, "we are prepared".

But what do we know from the GID-20?

First Case

While it is currently unknown who is patient zero and how did they manage to be inflicted by the GID-20, the first case seem to stem from Eggraria. On the 13th of March the Eggrarian Ministry of Health published a situation report stating a massive outbreak of the GID-20 that inflicted nearly 3% of the entire Eggrarian population. The surprise and massive surge of patients that had the GID-20 has taken the region by storm, and in less than a week over 5 countries have confirmed cases of the GID-20 and the numbers are expected to grow.

The Virus


The GID-20, or otherwise defined in by the Octagon of Health as the Gastrointestinal-Norovirus 2020 (GINV-20). Is a recent norovirus strand with a positive-sense RNA virus that seems to cause acute severe gastroenteritis in the patient. Although norovirus has been the main cause of both pediatric and adult gastroenteritis, the unique way the GINV-20 spreads due to its ability to seemingly incubate inside bacterial vectors such as E. coli and campylobacter has made the norovirus able to be spread from infected food, water and water droplets.

Symptoms include acute bloody diarrhea, followed by vomitting and abdominal pain. Marked dehydration continued by loss of iron content in the body are also symptoms that are currently viewed from the GID-20. Although still under review, eating improperly prepared food, drinking contaminated water or close contact with a person who is infected can spread the disease.

Prevention and Cure


Prevention includes hand washing with soap, drinking clean water, proper disposal of human waste and breastfeeding babies instead of using formula. For mild or moderate cases, this can typically be achieved by drinking oral rehydration solutions. Severe cases may require IV fluids and zinc supplementation. Antibiotics may be needed if patients are suspected of an additional bacterial infection, but antivirals have are currently tested to combat against the GID-20.

Several researches have unveiled the treatment that best responds to GID-20, according to Peonic Researchers from the Royal Virology Institute of Lotus University with collaboration with the University of Atlantis, Gi-Land [Link: Paper of the research. The GID-20 seems to react well with RNA antivirus Remdesivir alongside with Malarial drug Chloroquine, the paper suggests that although the antivirus have shown great success, management of the GID-20 must take into account rehabilitative therapy of the patient and rehydration.

Currently the drugs are still under examination and tests.

The Royal Palace has recently announced mandatory checkups of citizens and expatriats in the Peocracy, while a travel ban and closed border has yet to be enacted, visas of several countries are deactivated and unusable until further notice. A couple days later, in the Royal Assembly, The Peony sternly warned the assembly with a poem, which loosely translates to

As of now, major disinfection protocols have been done in various public places in the country, with provinces and prefectures ordering massive disinfection of cities. Meals and foods are under mandatory checks, as well as massive inspectorates from the food safety bureau to review all kitchens in Huawan. Any water sources are also being examined for any parasites.

The Peony herself orders that the government must "be swift and unwavering" in combatting the GID-20, it also appears that The Peony is a member of the Royal GID-20 task force as a researcher in Molecular and Tissue Pathology of the GID-20.

Rapid testing technologies and treatment guidelines are currently under development by the Royal Institute. Doctor D.Valentine, the head of the World Forum Health, is expected to open the floor on the recent pandemic.

While the Peocracy have not been too involved in the recent conflicts in the region, it appears that the Royal Palace is hesitant to join in the conflict

The PHSR Shinkansen, a Pride of The Peocracy

The Shinkansen, the pride of the Peocracy. Built in 1960s under The Peony Lingxin Yan. A story of fascination, drama and sacrifices. One of the jewels of The Peocracy, the 9th jewel. The first dedicated high speed train line that was built in The South Pacific. Run by the Peonic High Speed Rail Corporation, which is a subsidiary of Royal Peonic Rail. Now the route expands and every 20 seconds a shinkansen would arrive and depart a station.


In 1955, The Peocracy has endured a massive reconstruction bill from the Great War. The Peony, Mei Yan, commissioned a stronger commercial and economical position and ensured that freight connections are maintained and passenger connections continue to flow. However, with a larger need for more efficient and faster passenger connection, the Peocracy looks for other technologies. Coming out of the Great War, there is deep-rooted resentment of foreign and imported technology, so it is a massive undertaking for a solo project.

The first launch, from Lian to XinXian, was heavily documented, the footage taken by helicopter is struggling to match the speed of the moving shinkansen, and it was the highlight of the news. A train so fast that pierces the air like a bullet, took the name of the "Bullet train". The Shinkansen also took the world record of the Gi-Lanndian Intercity.

In 1964, the Kato Shinkansen was complete. An intricately woven track between Lian to Hai Lan welded together. Carrying over 61000 passengers per day, its popularity exploded when it carried athletic teams in The South Pacific regional Olympics, including The Peony's favourite method of local travel.

While the PHSR shinkansen no longer holds the world record, being held exclusively by the Valkyrian maglev rail network and later broken by the Gi-Lanndian hyperloop prototype. The PHSR shinkansen is the most punctual train network in the South Pacific, and the safest, with the last accident occurring from the Les Rouges bombing in 1976. Now over 10 shinkansen lines exist in Huawan, carrying 5.3 billion passengers since its operation. Carrying 452,000 passengers per day, on 365 daily services both local and international lines.

After discussions and preparations from the Peonic Sports League and the Arnchow Ministry of Youths, Sports and Culture. Both countries have decided to join the Zersbach 2021, bringing a full lineup of both male and female athletes to all the sports categories.

Meanwhile, the commonwealth of Arnchow has been provided immense support to Olympians amidst waning enthusiasm to sports and a higher trend of obesity in the younger population, Prime Minister Arnold Khoo issued a directive to promote youth activities and sports in schools and universities. This has significantly increased the amount of athletes in population-dense Arnchow, and the 2021 Youth Olympics is the debut of a new generation of athletes.

The Peony, being both the head of state of the Peonic Commonwealths and the Royal Peocracy of Huawan, wishes the two teams the best of luck to bring their country and the Peocracy pride. Izaakian Prince status changed, President Stella Blanc is now a princess of Huawan

A discussion in the Royal Council unveils that the princedom title of Hai Men, reserved for Izaakian royalty, shall been given to the head of state and subsequent successors. The head of state status in Izaakia is currently held by the Honorable Dr. Stella Blanc as President of Izaakia.

Empress Astrid, who bears the title "Noble Special Peonic Princess of Hai Men" shall continue to be bestowed upon the title until her death. Subsequent children in the Izaakian main lineage shall be awarded the honorary title "Special Noble Lord" and "Special Noble Lady" due to their citizenship rank being below the head of state. While subsequent presidents shall be awarded the title "Noble Special Princess" or "Noble Special Prince" as the head of state in Izaakia.

Hai Men have been in Izaakian rule in the 1800s after a deal with the Peonic dynasty was brokered. Hai Men was then given back and reintegrated to the Peocracy of Huawan but shall remain a special zone for both Izaakia and the Peocracy. As such, being the head of state of the Peocracy, The Peony Lingxin Yan bestowed the honorary title of "Noble Special Prince/Princess" to the current Izaakian ruler, and subsequent rules after.

Unveiling the Kamome Shinkansen, the National Shinkansen of Anzhou

Hsi'an, December 2021 After a joint cooperation with RPR & Co. and the Crown's National Railway of Anzhou, the first shinkansen line is made, which will serve between Anzhou capital Hsi'an and western major city of Yih'lan.


The rolling stock, which was based by the upgraded Katsugawa Shinkansen PHSR M200S 3rd Generation "Luong" will feature a 6 car design that will serve an express service Hsi'an to Tian'Chuan and a 10 car design that will serve a super-express service between Hsi'an to Yih'lan.


The Kamome shinkansen will feature dual supreme wing nose design improves aerodynamics and Silicon Carbide Superconductors to reduce electricity consumption. The Kamome shinkansen also features a battery propulsion system, which enables the train to move in power outages in the case of emergencies. The Kamome Shinkansen has a top speed of 300 km/hr, but the express service will be limited to 260km/hr. The Kamome Shinkansen M200S, is the second-fastest shinkansen model in the Peocracy's arsenal, sharing the title with the Katsugawa Shinkansen M200S. It will also be one of the fastest trains in Bailtem.


The service will begin in January 2022 just in time for the holidays.

The Peocracy of Huawan is touted as a champion of rail in The South Pacific, it's frighteningly efficient rail network is the awe and envy to other South Pacifican nations. The service of both the Royal Peonic Rail and The PHSR is seen by most as fundamental to the Peonic economy and way of life, bringing together distanced populace in The Peocracy divided by heavy mountaineous terrains and lush forests. Over 452,000 passengers are transported in a daily basis in the Kato (Lian-Hai-Lan) Shinkansen line alone, with shinkansens run every 3 minutes in the Kato shinkansen line.

A signature of Peonic diplomacy is in the "Railway diplomacy" of Huawan, which is named on three principles: "donations, aid, and joint high-speed rail projects". The Peocracy sets out to construct and build various rail projects in The South Pacific, from the light rail transit of FiHami, a railway line in Arnchow, to a shinkansen line in Esfalsa, Stoinia, and Sallodesia. The Peocracy also exports massive amounts of rolling stock to developing states for commuter and intercity services, as well as constructing the long-distance freight line from Huawan to Gi-Land also managed to link together the Cordillian region from the south to the north.

In anticipation of an increasing population boom and the predicted saturation of the Peonic shinkansen rail system between Lian and Hai-Lan, the Peocracy have been exploring various different alternatives to ensure efficient service. The Transrapid Maglev system by Valkyria has been an explored option, a system that was adopted between Hai-Lan central to Alam International Airport, crossing the Kwai River that divides Hai-Lan. Although efficient and clocking a regular service top speed of over 400km/hr, the tracks are heavily expensive and inefficient for mass transport compared to the Shinkansen. The legislation to expand was defeated in the People's Council in 2004.

However, test tracks for the Hyperloop and the SCMaglev, two competing different technologies, were built in 2015. Royal Peonic Rail are investigating the different types rail technology that might be used for mass transport. The SCMaglev project was then awarded in 2018 for the new Lian - Hai-Lan shinkansen line as the Hyperloop technology is continuously studied for future application.

A major difference with the Valkyrian TransRapid maglev technology, the SCMaglev uses superconducting magnets and guiding systems. The new design allows a higher top speed, with a clocked 501 km/hr speed, a speed monumentally higher than the amount of the Kato Shinkansen line.

Although the final line to Hai-Lan is expected to be completed in 2030, a Lian - XinYue - XinXian part of the project is commissioned, expected to be completed in 2023, this would allow a stronger unity between the Royal Province and the Central Province. However, as propagators see the project as a quantum leap forwards, challengers against the SCMaglev touted the high costs and the inefficiency of the project to help alleviate the transport saturation of the shinkansen line.

Nevertheless, after the passage of the edict to build the intercity maglev line approved in 2016, preparations have been constant yet strong. The Peocracy remains poised to continue ruling the rails, as it has done nearly 60 years ago with the first shinkansen lines.
