It's not actually. Yeah changing the wording to Llamaslator would look cute and would lighten up the assembly, but I believe that it isn't right to make a legitimate government look cute. Again we're not a role-playing government so I don't think that it fits in here.

Except that any government in NationStates is entirely roleplay. I can see why people wouldn't want this change, but I have to say, some of the reasoning as to why throughout this thread is pretty exaggerated and whacked-out.

We're a real body creating real laws that you actually have to follow (albiet within our relatively limited jurisdiction). If you want to dismiss the regional government as "entirely roleplay" we might as well ignore it entirely and let anybody in the region do whatever they want without repercussions.

Some of you may not take it seriously but those of us who do object to childish jokes like this that undermine our interregional credibility.

The idea that government in NS is roleplay is blatant nonsense; the laws we establish govern the communities behaviour, and regulate the administration of it. They have real effect in-game.

Indeed, as someone who is both a regular roleplayer and a member of the cabinet, I couldn't say there was very much in common between them. If I was only roleplaying as Minister of Regional Affairs, I wouldn't have had nearly so much work to do this last weekend.

Perhaps we just have different perspective on this game overall. I think I'm looking at this in an entirely different light, but hey, we each play the game our own way.

NS may be a roleplaying game, depending on the region, in fact there are many inter-regional roleplaying threads on the forums, but then again, The South Pacific is a real and legitimate government. If we were a roleplaying government(like Seraph said), we wouldn't be stressed in the government right now and we wouldn't be probably serious with our work here.

Well I haven't seen any wonderful reason behind why we shouldn't change it.
I am Zadiner/Zak. Part of Assembly, some other stuff, Founder of some other region.
Hey, I have a bunch of issues. You don't need to care.

Ummm, cause we don't want to see assemblymen wearing llama hats and an assembly shaped like a coconut?
(I may have gone too far here but from where we are this would be probable.)

I should also note the burden of proof is on trying to say why we should change it, not the reverse. So far the only For argument has been the "it's funny" excuse, that we've now spent four pages criticizing.

I motion to vote

I am woefully indifferent about this proposal. I'm having so much trouble caring about whether we have this or not that I can't even be arsedd to o wishflhlalasllashdlasld;ai;ha;ih ;;ah;fhd;s

Furthermore, I urge the Chair to restart debate time, given that this bill had been tabled for so long.
