I like this in principle (though haven't read it in detail) but it will probably require a Charter amendment.

I don't think this requires a Charter Amendment Bel, especially since it is classified as a Constitutional Law. Of course we could always ask the courts.

It constitutes a major change to the structure of TSP, in particular membership of the Assembly.

I would agree there should be a charter amendment of some sort, changing parts this law would significantly affect and just clarifying language. Something of this scope will cause legal ambiguities.

I haven't decided where I actually stand on this though.

Nice draft overall, I will support it, as long as the SPSF has ultimate military power in it.
However, what about regions that are annexed by SPSF, does the Colony term in this context and the act apply to regions that we annex with our military too?

I have deliberately avoided terminology related to annexation, because I know that's a controversial topic (and I don't even know how I feel about it - apart from South Pacific, of course). I would propose that we leave annexation out of our vision of the Commonwealth for now, and perhaps it can be dealt with in an amendment later on.

@Belschaft, what parts of the Charter do you think we need to change? I'd be happy to draft amendments to put alongside this act, but I'm not sure where to begin.

I was waiting for someone to make some Charter amendment suggestions, then I was going to make some myself, but I didn't really have time. I'm willing to let this sit until the Chater amendment issue has been addressed. As Rebel suggested if we motion now it will most likely receive a torrent of complaints.
