APPOINTMENT OF PALAISBELLEVUEBZ AS DEPUTY CHAIR

12 January 2019

Esteemed Legislators,

I am pleased to announce the appointment of @palaisbellevuebz (Bzerneleg) to the position of Deputy Chair.^[1]

Over the course of the past few months, Palaisbellevuebz has shown themselves to be an exemplary Legislator and a hard worker across the board. Through his work with the Lampshade Broadcasting Company, the Tsunamy Institution of the Law and Public Policy, and his own personal record, the Office of Legislator Bzerneleg, he has consistently produced high-quality material which is deserving of praise. All of his prior accomplishments, as well as his record of contributing to the Assembly, and most importantly, his willingness to serve this community, has me excited for the future of this body.

Palaisbellevuebz will serve alongside current Deputy Chairs @Nakari and @Rebeltopia, both of whom have provided invaluable counsel and will no doubt continue to do so. The order of seniority, in the event of my absence, is as follows: @Nakari, @Rebeltopia, and @palaisbellevuebz.

Please join me in congratulating Palaisbellevuebz and wishing him well ^_^

[1] Legislative Procedure Act, 2. Powers and Responsibilities of the Chair, Section 6, stipulates: ‘The Chair may freely appoint any number of deputies, who will be authorized to perform those legislative duties of the Chair that the Chair permits. Any changes in the roster of deputies must be posted publicly.’
[2] Charter of The South Pacific, Article IV. The Assembly, Section 4, stipulates: ‘… In the event that more than one deputy was appointed, the most senior deputy according to order of appointment and availability will serve as Acting Chair.’
