Party Platform of the
Alliance for the Preservation of the Coalition

Adopted in the 3rd Party Summit

 Preamble
As a party built out of chaos, it has long been our mission to preserve what we have while seeing to strengthen it to protect us from a rouge or authoritarian government rising once again. While we continue to dedicate ourselves to this purpose, we see a need for this party to evolve beyond its founding platform. So, in the spirit of progress, we, the members of the APC, have created a new platform we believe can serve as the foundation to guiding TSP to new heights, and shall dedicate ourselves to the fulfillment of its goals.

The Assembly
The Assembly of The South Pacific is the most critical organ of democracy in the South Pacific, as such, we believe that all nations wishing to join should be able to, barring they are not joining in bad faith. It is a core pillar of this party to reduce toxicity, and sadly, the Assembly at the time of this platform adoption is quite toxic. As a party, we will strive to reduce the toxicity and allow for every member to speak without fear of backlash or slander. The Chair of the Assembly is one of the most important jobs in the region, if not the most important, the party believes that breaking the Chair's duties into something more manageable is the best way to preserve that office, and have it desired, and not as a "if I must" office. The APC as a whole desires to draft legislation in the assembly, and as such would work towards court reform, Assembly reform, CRS reform, laws regarding transparency and political parties, and any future laws that gain the parties interest.
Transparency
Transparency is key to any nations survival, without it, corruption can run rampant with no check. As such, the APC have continuously released private party chats, held public endorsement votes, held public party summits, the APCRC also has released their government logs every month for public viewing. We believe that even if a group, organization, or party isn't obligated to release information under the Sunshine Act, they should still do so. In keeping with this, the APC believes that all government agencies, political parties, administration threads, and password protected forums should be released in regular intervals, so long as they would not threaten regional security.
Foreign Affairs
The main focus of our diplomacy should be to engage with regions, both GCRs and UCRs, that are culturally aligned with our democratic principles and active and vibrant culture. We must work to maintain regular and positive cultural engagements with allies and friends and to ensure that our treaties are reinforced by strong relationships between governments, regions, and people.  The Ambassador Corps serves to initiate new TSPers into the world of diplomacy and allows members to inform and educate other regions about TSP in a resourceful and creative manner.
South Pacific Special Forces
The South Pacific Special Forces is TSP's first line of defense against external or internal threats and also serves to protect allies from threats. The military also serves to maintain or improve relations with allies and should conduct missions with allies when possible. Military alignment should be determined internally by the General Corps and the Minister of Military Affairs. We should not engage in any type of military activity that involves griefing or destroying communities. Regular reports detailing missions without being op-sec should be released to the TSP public.
The High Court
The High Court of the South Pacific is the sole judicial institution of the region, and is tasked with the important duty of clearing up legal matters and conducting trials. The Court should always enforce and rule in an unbiased manner. The court, and should be selective of the cases it hears to ensure that it does not unnecessarily cases that can be resolved by other bodies. The Court should always keep case records updated and neat so that they can be easily accessed and referenced. The Court should also breed the next generation of maintaining maintain and regularly collaborating with and delegating work to Law Clerks for case study and deliberation.
Regional Affairs
The Ministry of Regional Affairs is tasked to inform and entertain the citizens in The South Pacific and the rest of the regions. In order for the ministry to function efficiently, it should be divided into two departments, namely: Culture and Outreach, and Communications, as the current workload for the minister is very heavy. With this split, these ministries will be able to produce more quality outputs. The Culture and Outreach  Ministry will be in charge of maintaining and sponsoring the integration of new members as well as activity within the region. The Communication Ministry would maintain and sponsor the news organization, and spread the word to the region on the event within the region.
The Local Council
The in-game community, being the heart and material center of our region and community, is a unique community in its own right. It is our belief that the betterment of the in-game community will lead to the betterment of the region as a whole. Thus, we as a party  will continue to build the strong foundations laid out between the in-game and forumside by organizations like the Local Council and regular governmental communications through TGs, dispatches, and RMB posts.  We shall do this in a dual exchange, where we shall attempt to promote further involvement within the Ministries from the in-game community, and shall also attempt to keep the in-game community as informed as possible as to the events centered on the forums. We as a party, shall make an effort to provide a welcoming space for those joining the forums (and the APC) through a mentor program, and the Regional Relations Committees outreach efforts.
The Council of Regional Security
The Council of Regional Security are the gatekeepers of the coalition, and as such is the line of defense that protects the region from invaders and potential bad actors who seek to harm the region and its democratic process. We believe that the CRS, must be accountable for its actions, and must not be too far out of reach of the Assembly, which is why, the party supports periodic reconfirmation of CRS members on a regular basis. The party also believes that the CRS should branch out into an Intel committee and one for regional protection. This would allow for trusted members of the coalition to become members for the purpose of rooting out potential threats.
