Dear South Pacificans,

with Seraph's resignation as MoRA due to his win in the Delegate election, the seat of the Minister of Regional Affairs is now vacant. Article 6 Section 1 of the Elections Act states that in case of a vacancy, "[i]f less than half of the term remains, [...] the Cabinet may appoint a replacement until the next regularly scheduled election." The term started on October 22 and will last until February 22. We have January now, therefore less than half the term remains, and it is up to us to appoint an individual to fill the vacancy.

Seraph made his recommendation to the Cabinet in case of victory three days ago; the remaining Cabinet thought it wise to primarily consider his recommendation and all three of us assented to it. Therefore, it is my pleasure to announce that we will appoint Kanglia to the Cabinet to fill out the remaining term in Regional Affairs. We look forward to working with you in the Cabinet!
